About Bear Paw
Bear Paw is an Oakland-based spiritual educator, intuitive reader, ritual facilitator, and ecumenical practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in spiritual guidance, teaching, community care, and hands-on ritual education.
Their work is practical, grounded, and deeply human, creating welcoming spaces where people from many spiritual, cultural, and religious backgrounds can learn through direct experience and reconnect with their own inner authority.

Bear Medicine classes are hands-on, practical, and beginner-friendly. Each class is designed to help you learn through direct experience and leave with both spiritual insight and a tool or practice to continue at home.
Classes are $60 and include ritual materials to take home.

Bear Medicine honors spiritual work as meaningful, relational, and powerful, while remaining honest about scope. This is spiritual education, ritual practice, intuitive guidance, and ceremony support. Though providing trauma-informed spiritual care, it is not medical care, psychotherapy, legal advice, or emergency support.
The work is ecumenical and respectful of many paths. Where cultural or lineage-specific elements are involved, Bear Medicine approaches them with care, consent, attribution, and respect for the people and traditions connected to them.
In additional to indigenous medicine from Turtle Island, Bear Paw is also a student and practitioner of Ifa, continuing their learning under their Babalawo, and does not present themself as an initiated Ifa authority or offer rites that belong to initiated elders, priests, or lineage holders.
